Guideline For Paper Submissions

Call for Papers

Authors are cordially invited to submit papers to the upcoming World Engineering Education Forum, WEEF2017. All papers must represent original and unpublished work that is not currently under review. Each submitted paper must be original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere. Each paper will be reviewed by experts in the relevant field ensuring the publication of top quality contributions. Authors are invited to submit two-pages extended abstracts following the standard format template provided below.


The extended abstracts submitted must be in pdf format, free from the authors' names and affiliations for the double-blind peer review process.

All accepted papers will be published in proceedings with Scopus Index. Selected papers will be considered for expansion to be published in ISI/SCOPUS journals.


Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (500-700 words) in areas of interest based on one of the following categories:




Category for Papers


  •   Work-in-Progress in Engineering Education

    The extended abstract may not have the final research results but it opens up discussion for improving the research gap, theories, literature review and research methodology that provides significant contribution to engineering education.

  •   Scholarly Experience Sharing in Engineering Education

    The extended abstract should explain promising practice that is supported by research evidence, previous studies and theoretical framework in related teaching and learning method in engineering education.

  •   Innovative Practice Sharing in Engineering Education

    The extended abstract should explain how the innovative practice in engineering education helps to solve problems in teaching and learning of engineering students

  •   Scholarly Research in Higher Education

    The extended abstract should explain a rigorous and scholarly study that has significant contribution to the advancement of engineering education. The abstract should highlight research questions, theoretical framework, sound research methodology, research results and appropriate discussion.

  •   Short Paper / Poster (Extended abstract – in any related area)

    The extended abstract should explain related area of research and the study that has been done. The content of the abstract should highlight the research design, method used, the findings and implication of study.
