The 2017 World Engineering Education Forum is bringing together a whole array of activities. The Forum combines a number of international engineering education conferences, and promises to be the largest ever conference on engineering education
The 21st Century, with its novel Grand Challenges and ever-complex systems and problems, is deemed as the Age of Collaboration – a time when people of different disciplines can work together to accomplish more than they can, on their own. In engineering education, there is a pressing requirement for preparing graduates who are ready to face the current and future challenges demanded by stakeholders and accrediting bodies. This calls for institutions of higher education and engineering educators to collaborate and synergize in designing curricula and programs to meet the desired outcomes.
Synergistic Collaboration can provide added value to academia, where much of the research carried out in educational institutions provides the new technology for commerce and industry, and underlines the importance of the process in a transforming global scenario.
